Fire Planning: Analysis of Service Options

BERK worked with the Chehalis Tribe to determine the most appropriate size for a new fire station given current and anticipated conditions, what the operation and maintenance costs might be for such a station, and the appropriate level of station staffing. We assessed the scope of Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to be provided from the contemplated station, evaluated the context in which the services would be provided, engaged Tribal Leadership to consider the policy context and level of service expectations for new Fire/EMS services, and determined the characteristics of the potential service area. Based on our findings, we estimated potential staffing and equipment needs for service provision.M/p>
