Seattle’s OED and the WGHA, with support from Washington’s Department of Commerce and We Work for Health contracted with BERK to update work done in 2009 to map the global health cluster in Washington. Through a portfolio of graphically-rich products, this project describes and maps the state’s global health cluster highlighting its reach and contributions across the state and around the world.
We also developed a folio and a report focused on identifying opportunities for Washington-based businesses and organizations to develop, manufacture, and distribute global health technologies and products. The report summarizes findings from interview and data collected from 59 global health organizations. It describes the key characteristics of health-related products and identifies actionable strategies to promote collaborations in Washington that improve health outcomes and local economic development.
