Aging and Disabled Resource Centers
BERK is currently writing a business plan for the statewide expansion of Aging and Disabled Resource Centers (ADRCs) which will provide one-stop services and referrals for the state’s aging and disabled populations. We designed and facilitated a process to obtain input and recommendations from a Planning and Policy Committee comprised of diverse stakeholders representing public, private, and constituent interests.
Early in the process, we developed an outline of the final product based on conversations with DSHS staff, interviews with Committee members, and best practices in other states. Using this outline, we established subcommittees to write preliminary recommendations for principal topics and a work plan to integrate these contributions into the final plan through a process of review, revision, and consensus-building with the full Committee.
