Future Services Strategy
The Future Services Strategy involved defining library services in light of rapidly evolving demographics, changing technology, and financial realities. BERK facilitated a diverse, 17-member Task Force of senior managers and staff from across the Library’s 1,200 employee workforce. Key elements of the Plan included action-oriented strategies to provide effective services and a framework to deliver services in the library, “beyond the building,” and online.
Reaching under served populations in King County and providing English language learning services was a significant component of the strategy. Our collaborative plan development process also included staff focus groups, patron outreach meetings, Board presentations, and the design and analysis of online staff and patron surveys.
