Kristin Maidt

Kristin is an Associate at BERK with a background in housing policy and financial analysis. She enjoys helping organizations make data-driven decisions to effectively reach their goals. Prior to joining BERK in 2016, she worked for the NYC Mayor’s Office of Housing Recovery Operations as the Assistant Director of Research, Analysis, and Reporting. She provided qualitative and quantitative analytic support on a team dedicated to developing and implementing sustainable housing solutions for residents affected by Hurricane Sandy. She also has project management and market research experience from her time working in private multifamily real estate development. Kristin earned her B.A. in Psychology from American University in Washington, D.C. and a Master of Public Administration in public and nonprofit management and policy with a specialization in finance from New York University Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service.

Kristin has dual citizenship in the U.S. and Ireland and previously called Charlotte, D.C., and NYC home, before heading to Seattle. In each city, Kristin was lucky enough to find organizations at the intersection of food education and youth development where she could donate her time. Here on the “best” coast, she enjoys backpacking and skiing. When not outdoors, she keeps busy baking bread, reading, and tracking her city, county, and state park visits in Excel.
