Central Library Economic Benefits Assessment: The Transformative Power of a Library to Redefine Learning, Community, and Economic Development

BERK conducted research and collected data to analyze the new Central Library’s impacts on tourism and downtown businesses. The Study also assessed the City of Seattle’s larger economic development opportunities.

BERK designed, administered and analyzed patron surveys and conducted a financial and economic analysis of the library’s benefits. We also reviewed comparable facilities nationally and internationally and recommended strategies to maximize the Library’s economic potential.
