Katherine specializes in municipal financial analysis. She enjoys working with organizations to address questions of financial sustainability and approaches to service delivery. She draws from over 14 years of experience in local government, where she gained expertise in budget development, financial analysis, and process improvement. Prior to joining BERK, Katherine worked for the City of Bellevue and the cities of Newport News and Norfolk in Virginia.
Katherine earned her B.A. in International Relations and French from the University of Southern California and a Master of Public Policy from the Luskin School of Public Affairs at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Outside BERK
Originally from Washington, Katherine came home to the Pacific Northwest after spending several years in Los Angeles and Virginia. She loves to travel and spent a year living in France. Outside of work, you can find her doing puzzles, listening to podcasts, and – depending on the season – skiing or visiting the local beaches with her husband and two kids.
