Redmond wins Mayor's Conference Climate Protection Award

BERK and the City of Redmond recently completed a Climate Vulnerability Risk Assessment as part of the City’s Comprehensive Plan Update for 2024. The project received an Honorable Mention - Small Cities Category at the U.S. Conference of Mayors’ 90th Meeting.

2018 Governor's Smart Communities Award - Ellensburg Housing Needs Assessment

The City of Ellensburg's Housing Chapter for the 2017 Comprehensive Plan Update was selected for the 2018 Governor’s Smart Communities Award under the Smart Vision category. BERK led the Housing Needs Assessment which supported the development of this Chapter.

Annual BERK Retreat 2018

BERK attended our annual Retreat May 17-18 at IslandWood on Bainbridge Island. This was our first time at IslandWood as a team and we loved the space and the integration of outdoor learning spaces and communal facilities!

BERK hosts AMMIC business owner Visioning meeting

BERK is currently working with the cities of Arlington and Marysville on the development of a subarea plan for their manufacturing and industrial center. Our project team hosted a successful property owner workshop to engage with businesses in the subarea.
